I WANT TO REACH A BILLION PEOPLE - Ademola MoreKlue

ADEMOLA AJIBOLA is the CEO of MoreKlue Group, a media and events company based in Nigeria. He opens up on his business and projects in this interview with OLUKOYE ABIODUN. Read!

HOW DID YOU START OUT?

I started out to be an actor and scriptwriter. I wrote lots of scripts back in my secondary school days and when I was out of high school, I tried having an event to launch and raise money for my projects. That was Nov, 2006 and I did the event and it was a massive failure. It was from there that I started helping a journalist do interviews and I kept spreading and in 2010 when I was tidying up in University, I kick started MoreKlue Entertainment which has become MoreKlue Group now.

CAN WE MEET YOU?

I'm Ademola Ajibola. I'm called MoreKlue and I work for MoreKlue Group as the team leader. At MoreKlue Group, we do events and media.

AS A TRAINED ECONOMIST,WHY DID YOU CHOOSE MEDIA & EVENT?

I studied Economics in school to be educated and also know how to manage my businesses easily. And you know the Nigerian society places premium on the certificate so I had to be educated so I don't get shut up in the society. I have been in doing events since 2006 and and I got admitted in 2007 so it was a well thought decision. I just wanted a balance.

Ibadan is an emerging market, why didn't you operate in Lagos?

Lagos is the hub for showbiz, no doubt. But we all can't be in Lagos. Nigeria has 36 states, Lagos is 1. If we all gather in Lagos, who develops the other states. And like you have rightly said, Ibadan is an emerging market. I prefer to live like a king in the jungle than a dog in the city. And with BBM, FaceBook, Twitter, My websites, and all social media networks, I'm even global.

What's up your sleeves?

Right now, we have PACESETTERS AWARDS. An awards platform created to celebrate deserving personalities who are residents, investors and indigenes of Oyo State. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 1st, 2014 at Jogor Centre, Ibadan. We just felt there was a need to celebrate ourselves and so far, the response is good.

What should people expect?

The best as usual. We hosted MAYA Awards last February and Ibadan felt our presence. This time, we are taking a step higher and we hope with God, we'd succeed this time too. Its going to be a cocktail of music, comedy, networking, recognition and fashion by all classes of the society all to celebrate our dear country's 54th birthday. We have affordable tickets on sales across town now.

When would you say you are fulfilled?

Maybe when everyday I go out and youths walk up to me daily and say, "I saw your stuffs (Magazines, Shows etc) and I braced up in my career and I am doing fine in business now". My goal is to reach out to 1 Billion people so I still got a long way to go.

How do you unwind?

I like clubbing though I don't drink or smoke. I also love music, movies and meeting people though I am the home type.

SUPERMOM SEASON 5…MY DAD MY SUPERMOM

Digital Interactive Media Ltd is proud to announce that activities for the supermom Reality TV show Season 5 has kicked off with an elaborate media unveil amidst pomp and pageantry.
The show is one of the most watched family platforms receiving wide acceptance from teeming viewers and brands across Nigeria and beyond,  has  redefined the face of reality entertainment celebrating mothers from all socio economic class, for their extra ordinary sacrifices made for their children and running consistently on major TV stations.
The anticipation and euphoria that greets the emergence of a New Supermom season since the inception of the show has always been phenomenal not just because of the human interest angle that the show generates, but also because of the dynamics of the CSR the show stands for, thereby strategically positioning it to affect lives directly or indirectly in a positive way.
This year is also not an exception as we are set to roll out the drums to celebrate five years of the Supermom brand of consistently churning out true life emotional drama never seen before on television. The show promises to be more engaging than ever before.
The emotional connection between the viewer and the show has positioned it as a must watched for anyone that believes in the joy of motherhood irrespective of age, gender and social status. That is why Supermom reality show is a family show with a difference.
Voted the most watched reality show in Nigeria for 2012, the show has also become a veritable tool for brand participation.

The 2010 season of the Supermom reality show is now in the annals of history, but it paved the way for a revolution in family reality entertainment in Nigeria in the last five years. Despite the challenges, the show still went on to enjoy massive acceptability because of the uniqueness and newness of the format.
The maiden edition of the show was sponsored by Dufil prima foods makers of indomie noodles, Procter and Gamble makers of family household products Ariel detergent, Pampers, Oral B toothpaste and safeguard and Promasidor makers of Onga Family seasoning and Cowbell Milk.
Nigerians were treated to a dose of true life emotional experiences told and dramatized in a no holds barred manner. Thousands of entries were received from across the country cutting across different tribes, status and gender.
Mrs. Nkechi Rapu, a 63 years old petty trader from Delta state emerged the grand prize winner of a three bedroom bungalow while Mrs. Muibat Adisa and Mrs. Blessing Okpabi emerged first and second runners up carting home a Brand New car and five hundred thousand naira respectively.
The second season of the show consolidated on the gains of the first season. Having achieved unprecedented recognition from all a sundry, the show became a household name on the lips of Nigerians who remained loyal and committed to it following it with rapt and attention for the thirteen week it was on air.
A business woman and mother of six Mrs. Folajogun Adesona was voted the supermom, and like Nkechi Rapu in season one she won for herself a three bedroom bungalow for her extra ordinary sacrifices for her children. A brand new car and five hundred thousand naira was won by Mrs. Theresa Nwaohu and Mrs. Bessy Egbebamwonyin for emerging first and second runners up for season two.
In other to cut across all social status, the 2012 edition was tagged the celebrity edition bringing to fore the rare gems that were used to bring into this world our celebrities. For the first time in the history of the show the participants were selected from an array of talented celebrities in Nigeria.
Mrs. Gladys Asukwo mother to ace music producer Cobhams Asukwo won the sum of two million naira for her extra ordinary sacrifices for her physically challenged son.
Mrs. Anike Omobonike and Mrs. Martina Sanni mothers to Fuji maestro Abass Akande Obesere and hip hop crooner skales won for themselves one million and five hundred thousand naira respectively. The celebrity edition afforded Nigerians to know that behind every successful super star there is a Supermom.
The heart of Gold edition of the show berthed in 2013 and it was aimed at celebrating mothers who raised children that were not biologically related to them. Special attention was also given to orphanages and auspices across the country in line with our corporate social responsibility.
So Said Orphanage won the show in 2013 carting home the grand prize of two million naira while Children’s Promises Orphanage and Vigilant Heart Orphanage won one million and five hundred thousand naira respectively for defying the law of the umbilical cord and raising children that were not related to them.
In line with the dynamic nature of the Supermom Reality show, This year’s edition is therefore tagged ‘MY DAD…MY SUPERMOM and is a break from the norm aimed at celebrating fathers who sacrificed selflessly for their children by taking up the mantle of motherhood in the absence of their mothers due to unforeseen circumstances like a mothers neglect of her children, legal separation or even death.
“My Dad My Supermom” teaches us how to know what love requires from an unlikely source like a Dad and when to find steel in the heart when life makes demands on us greater than what we can endure.
They are our heroes who trudged on when a helpmate was not there and became an instrument of undiluted love, hope and security to their children.
You call them Daddy, We call them Supermom.
Despite having attained a reputation of excellence in such a short time as evident in numerous recognitions and awards the show has received we are not riding on the existing popularity currently being enjoyed by the Supermom brand and like the maxim goes “Advertisement keeps you ahead of your competitors”.
A massive publicity plan have been designed using all major platforms like Print, TV, Radio and the Internet to drive awareness for Supermom Season 5, MY DAD…MY SUPERMOM all aimed at getting quality recruits for the show.
The Supermom Season 5, MY DAD…MY SUPERMOM is set to change the face of televiewing never experienced before in the history of the Nigerian entertainment Industry.
The Supermom Reality show season 5, MY DAD…MY SUPERMOM is proudly sponsored by Procter and Gamble makers of notable household products Oral B tooth paste and  Safeguard Soap and Promasidor makers of Onga family seasoning.
.....................................
Recording will commence in Major cities across Nigeria in few weeks and we look forward to your support for us, as we intend to reach every home, age and gender through your widely read platforms. Thanks for the anticipated support and God bless you.
Yours Truly,
Ademola Ajibola
