the land has finally become fertile and even people from the so-called modern
city are beginning to leverage on what Ibadan has to offer in all sectors.
Thanks to some passionate and relentless individuals, entertainment in the
ancient city has been rapidly growing.
The ancient city has recorded much success
in Nigeria entertainment over the course of the last 5 years, and here is a
list of selected people influencing the city's entertainment and making waves
beyond it.
FEMIAYANGBESAN
(DJ SEXY)
He is one of the most popular brands in
Ibadan; a DJ and a father to the entire ancient city finest musician. I like to
refer to him as the 'Jimmy Jatt' of IBcity. Artistes like Pizzy, Tu-Wyze and
others will attest to this fact. He doesn't charge a dime to promote talent,
recently added another platform called ONE MIC, his relevance is uncontestable.
ROLAKE BELLO
A jolly good fellow with the voice of an
angel; a renown OAP that has plied her trade in topnotch radio stations in the
city but presently with Star FM. She recently hosted the Oyo State Sport Media
Awards, and has been nominated for several awards too. She is an Ekiti indigene
that has sacrificed her life to maximizing potentials in the Ibadan
entertainment world.

Don T definitely rings a bell for most
radio and TV audiences in Nigeria. The Splash FM OAP and MTN project fame state
judge has a relentless passion to achieve extraordinary things; a spirited
attribute of his that has rubbed on the city over time, hereby making him one
her core leaders in entertainment and a perfect role model for young ones.

In a short while he has given music lovers
in Ibadan something to cheer for, and a legacy to lay claim to. A talented and
relentless musician whose musical feat in 2014 has made relevant in the Nigeria

of it. He has been regarded as the next big thing in music.
TOBI OWOMOYELA

Some people make jokes, but some are born
with jokes. He is by all standards one of the best and biggest comedians in
Ibadan. Event planners understand that to sell out a show, all you need to do
is have him on the poster. Despite trading in the Lagos market, he has never
abandoned his soil, Ibadan his source.
Even the father of Nigeria comedy Ali
Baba, regards him as a son.

Do you remember 'familiarity' and
'alligator? Then you know who Jay rule is a musician and one of the pioneer of
good music in the ancient city. He has been consistent in supporting
entertainment in all levels, and he is definitely one of the City's finest,
being nominated for the Nigerian entertainment awards is not an achievement you
can overlook.
FAKOYA QUDUS OLUWADAMILARE

We have always known Ibadan is on the world
map, but we recently learned that the city has a brand ambassador Q-dot. There's no doubt that his single
'Ibadan' has helped given the city a push in the musical aspect. 2014 saw Q-dot
make relevance, and he was selfless enough in doing so by giving the city the
deserved and necessary hype.

I like to call him the humane-photographer;
he's always in tune with his clients' emotion in order to give them the best
service. He shoots at over 70% of the City's events. The most amazing thing
about Think it is that he values relationship/partnership more than money;
always dragging people with him on his way to the top. He is an inspiration to
the youths of the city.

One statement, “dreams come true with Jazzy
B”. He hosts am Inspirational Television Talk show which is shot in Ibadan and
aired on several stations. A show that has ushered many star celebrities into
this city in order to inspire the youths to keep chasing their dreams till it
comes true. This man isn't stopping at anything until he has influenced the
young lives around him positively.
OLUOKUN ADEBAYO

A musician and model; been ambassadors for
major brands, e.g. Guinness, Interswitch, First bank, etc. He was the face of
MTN 400 recharge card for six years. He was one of the major facilitators of
the 'save a soul' concert. He presently own Highflyers Entertainment and
Highflyer’s Journal.

One of IB city's finest OAPs; an awesome
orator and prolific speaker. She is the voice behind Star F.M's morning show;
always navigating people through traffic and motivating them on how to lead a
good life. She has won several awards as an On Air Personality and has won
several recognition awards for her service to humanity.

A singer/songwriter and OAP; she studied
Music Performance and Production at the renowned London Center of Contemporary
Music after her first degree at the Lagos State University where she studied
English, since then, she being contributing to the growth of ancient city's
entertainment through her programs on splash FM.

Whenever comedians from all around the
nation gather in Ibadan, it is to honour the invitation of Ibadan's very own
finest comedian Laff Up. The Christmas period festivity isn't complete without
his show; his presence has added manure to the entertainment soil of this city.
