In a statement issued by the project director, Ademola Ajibola, he said "In line with our desire to crown new kings and queens who have in the past 10 months been amazing and incredibly excellent in their chosen fields, do we release this tentative list of nominees".
"We are breaking the norm this time as we won't be celebrating the expected but the deserving. We had over 1,000 nominations and the awards jury carefully looked into the works of the 'new hawks' who are fasting taking the society by storm by being agents of change and selected the eventual 150 nominees".
"We can't continue to celebrate the same set of faces, people, brands and achievers. We need to call attention to the new ones making waves and I can assure that anyone who wins any award at #TheCoronation should be checked up after 2 years to see how far they must have gone".
"We look up to support for this cause and we'd appreciate every efforts taken by our nominees to reach out to us as we don't have everyone's contact. We hope to have the world gather to see the new kings and queens when crowned in February, 2015". He concluded.
Under listed are the categories and nominees for the 2015 edition of the awards event. This list is tentative & is subject to change before the final list drops on the awards official website on December 22nd when the 40-day voting exercise is expected to commence.
