'How Don Jazzy changed my life' - T.O.C

My name is Tochy Oyeoku (TOC). am an upcoming singer student in Bells University. When I left my house for EME album launch party at club deuces couple of months back, I didn't know I was going to meet my break through. I met Don Jazzy and we spoke for a bit and he asked me to give him a call so we can continue our discussion some other time. His private number was like a huge asset for me, I crammed it immediately and saved it on my two phones, I kept on calling and sending text messages, so sad no one was picking, no text was replied either. At a stage I lost all hope and continued my Under G striving.

One blessed day I was about to doze off when my phone started vibrating. I almost ignored the call to get back to whoever it is when I wake up, looking on my phone screen I saw "don jazzy" you needed to have seen how I sat up at once, the sleep flew away like a bird that escaped from her cage. I booked an appointment and went to his house.

What a wonderful mansion? I said as I stepped into his compound. He asked me to play my works, afterwards he complained I sound like Wizkid and Dammykrane which isn't far from what  Dr. Sid, Wande and DPrince who he said I have soo much resemblance with are doing. I pleaded to him to give me just 30 seconds to freestyle there and then in his studio, I guess he saw the zeal and desperateness in me "T.O.C am going to give you an amount of money to work with big producers in the industry" like Sarz, Samklef and J-sleek, for the past 5years I haven't been that happy. I didn't know how to start expressing my feelings, should I kneel down or lie down. The joy was just too overwhelming. I kept on saying thank you sir! I quickly dropped my account number for him. The next morning. I received an alert from Mavin Records! (don't worry about the amount ;) What more can I say? Don jazzy is a blessing am forever grateful

Now I have songs produced by Sarz, Samklef, and some other bad ass producers, one of them just dropped today produced  by Samklef.

MEET ELPHLEX

Born Ariyo Oluwaseun and Ariyo Adeniyi Emmanuel from Irepodun Iberekodo South L.G.A, Ogun State,  Abeokuta, Nigeria. Ariyo Oluwaseun, popular known as "DJ ELSHAWN", had his Diploma in Banking and Finance from Olabisi Onabanjo University(O.O.U), Ago Iwoye, ogun state in 2006 while Ariyo Adeniyi Emmanuel known as "PHLEXDENARY", graduated from the University of Benin, studied Sociology and Anthropology in 2008.

 

 Ariyo Oluwaseun and Ariyo Emmanuel popularly known as ELPHLEX in music scene signed under Pillars Record dropped their first singles in February,2010 titled; "AMEN" and "LETS GO THERE".The two songs were produced by Sucksy and Tizze, Mixed By Sheyman.

AMEN video was shot by Best Cinematographer in Nigeria; Dj Tee and LETS GO THERE by Patrick Ellis. In June 2005; ELPHLEX releases two new songs titled; "GBETIWA" and "BABY JA-MALO" produced by TIZZE & SHEYMAN. GBETIWA is the new unstoppable video directed by Patrick Elis which has been on all
TV screen and gaining massive airplay with love since July 2011.
The duo finally released another single off the S.O.T Album "in The Mood" produced by label Mate(Pillars Record), T-izze ,Mixed and mastered by the king of Melody Sheyman.... In D mood is another song' all need to listen this, next to blow your mind out, cause this will definitely rock all the Clubs, you can't listen to this song without shaking. The video was shot by Clearance Peters for Capital Dreams and was a mind blowing one, the afro pop video was on musical channel chat for several months.

In July 2012, El-Phlex releases the Remix of Gbetiwa which feature 6ix rap artiste, Yung6ix, Cynthia Morgan, Seriki, Jhybo, Iceberg Slim, and T-izze, which really brought them to the mainstream in the musical Scene but local and international.

Later that year, the duo also released a reloaded for Jamalo ft sheyman and skales and also Home and Away Ft Reminisce which are the last singles dropping off the S.O.T album.
The DUO has performed in several reputable event/shows with unique styles and creativity channeled through their trendy music and fashionable lifestyle, such as; Lunching of Pall Mall Cigaret by B.A.T(British American Tobacco), Valentine Music n Laugh VienaCity, ACCRA GHANA,2011; Oxygen Show in Porthacourt, Rhythm Unplug Benin and Abuja, Global Excellence Recognition Awards, Lagos and Havana Carnival Ibadan and Global News GLADE 2011. ELPHLEX WON THE Global News Award for the Most Promising Artist of the year in july 2011. Best Upcoming Artistes 2010 in Ibadan by "ASCOM" Association Of Student Communication. Best Performing Artistes UNIBEN IN 2006. ELPHLEX was nominated for BEST NEXT RATED ARTIST 2011 by the organizers of Media Night Out Award today on 11th September,2011 .... Watch out for ELPHLEX as they are about to take over the Nigerian and Africa music industry by glance.

New Book on Masturbation written by Nigerian Musician

Nigerian Rapper Don Saint is out with a new book "Emancipation From Masturbation'. Don Saint is the second Nigerian Hip Hop Artiste after Naeto C to obtain a Master’s Degree in Religion and Human Relations from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka on the 17th Sept.2012. He was also the former Events Manager at Sliverbird’s Rhythm Fm Awka Station before he went back to school for his Masters Degree .

The C.E.O of So-Plain Entertainment /Naija Music Movement said his passion to help the youths overcome masturbation kept him awake for researches on the issue.

Don Saint says:

“80 % of the youths from age bracket of 10- 45 do masturbate and this they see as normal. But when I did my research I found out that Masturbation is very dangerous to our health, especially to boys as they grow into Men. So I took up the course to let the people know about the harmful effects of masturbation and how one can be free from the addiction.”

He also added:

“Once you finish reading the book, you will never go back to the act again, unless you want to destroy your life and future. The book analyses the term Masturbation, the causes, the harmful effects and how one can be free from Masturbation addiction.

That is a great question because am planning on my single with Naija known artiste which i have credence that before end of May it gonna be da BOMB basically Hip hop.

yea, am the CEO of TIMESCALE RECORDS LABEL .... Artistes are born to flock after they become known to the world but when they are still upcoming they respect and loyal to Djs.

WHAT SHOULD BE EXPECTED OF YOU IN FIVE YEARS TIME?
 5-10 years ....better places both international and local because Djing has been a lucrative job that has been around since the early 1900s and when i have madt skillz on point.

 My friends house party.

WHEN DID YOU START PROFESSIONALLY?
 I love music because is the food & salt of life , i started professionally in the year 2004.

WHAT IF YOU PLAY AND PEOPLE ARE NOT DANCING
 Thanks for the question... Am a professional DJ with madt skillz on the wheels of steel, i have good DJ equipments and i plays music. I think when am not on the wheels of steel but when i put my magic fingerz on the turntables my crown get high on the dancing floor because i dont play R&B where i suppose to play dancehall LOL.
